The Tool Container allows the user to organize tools in a workflow. Tools can be placed inside the container to isolate a process. The container can be displayed in an expanded or collapsed manner and can also be disabled.
Caption: Type the desired text to appear in the top bar of the Tool Container. The default will be Container and the Tool ID. The tool container will expand its width extent to display the entire caption.
Set the appearance settings for the tool container. Settings include: Text Color, Fill Color, Border Color, Transparency, and Margin.
Default container color is can be specified in User Settings. Go to Options > User Settings > Edit User Settings and click the Canvas tab.
Disabled: When checked the contents of the Tool Container will not execute at workflow runtime. When a Tool Container is disabled, it will appear in its collapsed state and will not have the down arrow for expansion. To enable a Tool Container, click on the tool container to display its Configuration Properties and un-check the Disable box.
Drag a Tool Container from the Tool Palette and drop it onto the workflow canvas.
To place tools inside the container, simply drag them on top of the container on the canvas. Tools can be placed inside a container one by one, or a group selection can be placed inside the container.
To remove a tool from a container, select it and drag it out of the Container.
To expand or collapse, click the small arrow on the right side of the Tool Container.
To enable a Tool Container that has been disabled, click on the tool container to display its Configuration Properties and un-check the Disable box.
To delete a container without removing its contents, right click on the expanded container and click Delete Container Only.
