Random % Sample Tool

The Random % Sample tool returns an expected number of records resulting in a random sample of the incoming data stream.

Configure the tool

1. Specify the number of records to return.
   • Random N Records: Select a value for Number of Records to specify the number of records to output.
   • Random N% of Records: Select a value for Percent of Records to specify the percentage of incoming records to output.
2. Deterministic Output: Select a value for Random Seed to ensure the same records come out of the tool each time, as long as the random seed is the same at runtime.
