The Gallery is the web interface where users interact with Server. A Gallery Admin user has access to the Gallery Admin interface to manage an organization's private Gallery. 

After you install and configure Alteryx Server and enable the Gallery, you can open a browser and go to the Gallery URL set in System Settings in Gallery > General > Base Address.

Sign in to Gallery

The steps for signing in to the gallery depend on the type of authentication you selected in System Settings when you configured Server settings. See Gallery Authentication Configuration.

Sign in via Integrated Windows Authentication

If you've configured gallery to use Integrated Windows Authentication, when you go to the gallery URL you are prompted to enter your domain credentials to sign in.

  1. Go to the URL entered in Base Address during configuration.
  2. Enter your username and your password.
  3. Select Sign In.
Sign in via Built-In Authentication

If you've configured gallery to use built-in authentication, you have to take additional steps when you sign in the first time to create your gallery admin account.

  1. Go to the URL entered in Base Address during configuration.
  2. Select Sign In.
  3. Select Don't have an account? Created one now.
  4. Complete the sign-up form using the email address and password entered for the Default Gallery Administrator (System Settings in Gallery > Authentication > Default Gallery Administrator).
  5. Select Sign Up.

Access the Gallery Admin Interface

To access the Gallery Admin interface, select your username and select Admin.

Once you have logged in to the Gallery, click your user name in the upper-right corner and select Admin.
