Additional Installers

Install these anywhere you install Alteryx Analytics Hub (AAH) or AAH Engine Workers.

YXI Command Line Installer

Alteryx Analytics Hub (AAH) supports packaged tools (.yxi files). A YXI file is a package that includes an Alteryx tool and all of its dependencies zipped into a single file. You can use one or more tools with the YXI installer. 

Download

Download the YXI installer from the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
2. Sign in or select Don’t have an account? Create one now. If you’re creating a new account register with the email address associated with your Alteryx License.
3. Under Product Downloads, select Alteryx Analytics Hub.
4. In the Download Products window, select Alteryx Analytics Hub.
5. In Downloads, select yxi-installer.exe
   

Install

You use this installer with the tools you're installing. Follow these steps:

1. Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
2. Go to the location of the yxi-installer EXE.
3. To see information about running the installer, enter .\yxi-installer.exe --help
   
   
    
4. Always choose the Admin install type to install the tool in the Program Data directory. An example install command where XMLParse is the tool you're installing
   .\yxi-installer.exe install-yxis --install-type "Admin" --uninstall-previous --alteryx-path "C:\Program Files\Alteryx" ".\XMLParse.yxi"

Alteryx Intelligence Suite (AIS)

Alteryx Intelligence Suite offers Machine Learning and Text Mining capabilities—including Natural Language Processing (NLP). To use AIS with Analytics Hub, you have to install AIS on the Hub machine and all engine worker machines.

Download

Download the AIS installer from the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
2. Sign in or select Don’t have an account? Create one now. If you’re creating a new account register with the email address associated with your Alteryx License.
3. Under Product Downloads, select Alteryx Designer.
4. In the Download Products window, select Alteryx Designer.
5. In Downloads, select ais-installer.exe
   

Install

1. Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
2. Execute install command:
   1. Format:   <installer file> install-ais --alteryx-path <install location> 
   2. Example: .\ais-installer.exe install-ais --alteryx-path "C:\Program Files\Alteryx\"
3. If a prompt appears, select Yes or Yes to all to overwrite any existing AIS files.
4. Once the install completes, select Close and Run Designer later. 
   Note that this doesn't install Designer. It is a defect as the tools are usually installed with Designer. 

Predictive and R Tools

The R tool is a code editor for R users. R is an open-source codebase you can use for statistical analysis. 

Download 

Download the R installer from the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
2. Sign in or select Don’t have an account? Create one now. If you’re creating a new account register with the email address associated with your Alteryx License.
3. Under Product Downloads, select Alteryx Designer.
4. In the Download Products window, select Alteryx Designer.
5. In Downloads, select either Alteryx Predictive Tools (Admin version) or Non-Admin Alteryx Predictive Tools.
6. Select the link for the product to download the file.
   

Install

1. Run the Rinstaller EXE. The InstallAware wizard runs followed by an Alteryx installer. Accept the default configuration or select an activation option.
