Relevant Segments and Breakdowns
As part of Auto Insights' analysis, it supports automatic calculations that might not be relevant to the business at times.
As a dataset owner, you can customize which segments are shown in the 'What Caused This?' table and what segments are available in Breakdown for comparing metrics, to ensure only relevant analyses are shown. You can do this by customizing the calculations for your dataset and disabling breakdowns for an entire column (so that column/segment would not be visible across any measures), or by customizing the relevant segments/breakdowns for each measure individually.
On the Datasets page, select the 3-dot menu next to your dataset and then select Configure dataset.
To configure the calculations for your dataset, select Configuration and then select Configure Calculations.
The dataset configuration window displays where you can enable/disable Breakdown capability for each String column in your dataset. For any columns that should not be shown in the 'What Caused This?' table or as a dimension by which to compare your measures, disable the Breakdown checkbox for that column.
Select Save Changes to apply any changes to your dataset.
Alternatively, or in addition to customizing the Breakdown calculation for each column, you can also adjust the relevant segments/breakdowns for a specific measure.
From the Configuration page, select the measure you wish to customize so that the configuration drawer is shown.
Use the Relevant Segments/Breakdowns section to configure which segments and breakdowns should be shown for this measure.
