Administer Machines
Alteryx Licensing & Downloads Portal 23.1
These options aren't available in the new Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal experience. Go to View Licenses or Manage Accounts and Users to see available options.
A license administrator can view and manage machines. A license administrator can view all licenses for a machine and determine which machines have activated a specific license key. A pop-up window gives information about licenses for the machine.
View License Keys by Machine Name
To view license keys by machine name...
Sign in to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
Select Machines > Administer Machines.
Alteryx displays machines by Machine Name, Machine ID, Type, and license information. These options are available via the Administer Machines page.
Search for User's License Key Using Their Email Address
To search for a license key using an email address...
In the search area, select Machine Name.
Enter a wildcard character (*), any part of the user's email address, followed by another wildcard character (*).
Select Search.
Select the user's email address in the Machine Name column.
Alteryx displays the activated products on the machine, the license keys, and the license key expiration dates.
Search for User's Email Address Using Their License Key
To search for an email address using a license key...
In the search area, select License Key.
Enter or paste a license key.
Select Search.
Alteryx displays the user's email address in the Machine Name column.
View Which Machines Have Activated Specific License Keys
To view machines by license key...
Sign in to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
Select Machines > Administer Machines.
In the search area, select License Key.
Enter or paste a license key.
Select Search.
Alteryx displays results matching the search criteria you entered.
View Machines by Type
To view machines by machine type...
Sign in to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
Select Machines > Administer Machines.
In the search area, select the filter icon.
In the filter menu, select a machine type and status.
Select Apply to apply the filter.
Alteryx displays machines by machine name, machine ID, type, and license information. These options are available via Administer Machines.
Administer Machines
Search for License Server
To search for a License Server...
Sign in to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
Select Machines > Administer Machines.
In the search area, select the filter icon.
In the filter menu, select Local License Servers as machine type and also unselect all other machine types, so that the search results only show local license servers.
In the filter menu, select a status.
Select Apply to apply the filter.
In the search area, select License Key, Machine Name, or Machine ID.
Enter the search criteria and select Search.
Alteryx displays the machine matching the search criteria.
Revoke License from Machine
To revoke a license from a machine...
Sign in to the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal at licenses.alteryx.com.
Click Machines > Administer Machines.
Select the machine you want to revoke the license from.
Select Action > Revoke Licenses.
Enter the number of licenses you want to revoke under Qty to remove.
Select Save.
The license is now available.
