Download and Install a Product
Important
As of the 2022.3 release, Alteryx Designer, Server, and the R Predictive tools use new installer technology. The updated installer detects your operating system language and installs Alteryx products in that language (if applicable). It installs the English version otherwise.
In order to upgrade to the 2022.3 version, you must be on version 2020.3 or newer. If you are currently on a version that is older than 2020.3, you must first upgrade to at least 2020.3 before you can upgrade to 2022.3.
Once you install 2022.3, you can't roll back from the 2022.3 version to a prior version automatically. You must first manually uninstall 2022.3. In future releases, you will not need to perform this manual uninstallation to roll back to a prior version.
R is not automatically uninstalled when you upgrade or uninstall Designer and Server. This is not an issue if you upgrade your R version at the same time as Designer and Server.
If R is detected when you install Designer and Server, the installer will notify you.
If you uninstall Designer and Server, you'll be reminded to remove R.

Alteryx products, like Designer, Server, Analytics Hub, Alteryx Data Sets, and others are available for download from the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal at licenses.alteryx.com, or via Help > Alteryx Downloads from the main menu in Designer.

Sign Up
To sign up...
Locate your license key.
Go to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.
Enter your First Name, Last Name, Company, Job Role, Phone, Country, State/Province, Postal Code, Email, and Password.
Select Sign Up.
On the Terms and Conditions page, select Accept.
In the next window, enter or paste your license key and select OK. License keys are case sensitive. Copy and paste the license key in the same form it was provided.
Alteryx uses your email address and license key to associate your account with your organization and display product downloads available to you.
Sign In
To sign in...
Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.
Sign in with your email address and password.
Select Sign In.
In the next window, enter or paste your license key and select OK. License keys are case-sensitive. Copy and paste the license key in the same form it was provided.

Download a Product
To download a product from the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal, sign in, and on the Home page select a product from the Product Downloads list.

Alteryx Intelligence Suite: You need Alteryx Designer to use Intelligence Suite tools. The version of Alteryx Intelligence Suite must match your version of Alteryx Designer.

Next, select the version you want to download and select Next. On the Preference page, download your preferred version.
To install a product:
Double-click the installation file to open it. The InstallAware wizard runs followed by an Alteryx installer.
Accept the default configuration or select an activation option.
Admin and Non-Admin Versions of Designer
Admin Version
The Admin version requires administrator permissions on the machine. It can be run by all users on the machine and installs in the system Program Files directory. The Admin version also includes Alteryx Scheduler which requires a license.
Non-Admin Version
The Non-Admin version does not require administrator privileges on the machine. It installs in the user’s App Data location and can only be run by the user who installed it.
Both the Admin and Non-Admin versions of Designer can be installed on the same machine.
Alteryx Predictive Tools
When you upgrade to a newer version of Alteryx Designer, you must also upgrade to a newer version of the Predictive Tools. The 2 versions must be the same.
To download Predictive Tools...
Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.
In the Product Downloads area, select Alteryx Designer.
Select your version of Alteryx Designer and select Next.
On the Preference page, select Download of either Alteryx Predictive Tools (Admin version) or Alteryx Predictive Tools (Non-Admin version).
Alteryx downloads the file to the default download folder for your machine.
