Activate Designer in a Free Trial with Alteryx One Platform
You can use Alteryx One Platform Trial to test Designer Desktop. The trial period is 30 days.
Note
Trial activation requires Alteryx One Platform. You must be online and signed in to your Alteryx account. You don’t need-and will not receive-a license key.
To activate Designer successfully, you must use version 2025.1.2.142 or newer. You can download the latest version here.
Before you can use Designer Desktop, you need to sign up for the Alteryx One Platform trial. Alteryx One Platform will grant you the Workspace Admin and Full User role. Then you can download the installer from the Alteryx One Platform Overview page.
To activate Designer Desktop…
Open Alteryx Designer.
Select Sign In to Your Trial.
Select the United States Alteryx One instance. Your web browser opens.
Enter your Alteryx One Platform email.
Select Next.
(If applicable) Select a workspace from the list of workspaces displayed.
Note
This step is applicable only if you have more than one workspace associated with your account (for example, if you're an existing user who has created a trial).
Verify using the OTP code sent to your email.
Note
If you don’t receive the OTP within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If the email is still missing, ask your IT admin to allow messages from the Alteryx domain.
Enter your password and sign in.
The web browser displays the Verified Account message. If your account has the right permissions, activation of Designer is completed immediately.
You can now begin using Designer Desktop for the remainder of your trial period.
Important
Offline activation is not supported. Trial users must activate Designer using the Alteryx One Platform Platform with an internet connection.
License keys are not required for trials. Activation is handled automatically when you sign in with Alteryx One Platform.
