Restore Invalid Assets

Missing assets may occur if a metadata loader runs on a data source that requires attention. Deleted assets are set to an invalid state, which can be restored.

Assets that are deleted or missing are neither visible nor searchable. However, assets can be restored through the metadata loader initially used to load the data. See Load Metadata into Connect to select the appropriate metadata loader.

The metadata loader restores deleted assets by resetting a "valid-to" timestamp, adding them to a new version. This restores the deleted assets with no additional action required in Connect.
