Manage Partner Data Licenses

Use these instructions to manage partner data licenses.

These instructions apply to partner data or any product license that uses SRC (.srclc) licenses. For activating a license for a data set downloaded from the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal, see Activate Data Sets.

Manage SRC (.srclc) Licenses or Partner Data Licenses

Manage SRC (.srclc) licenses in the Partner Data License Manager window.

Users with administrator privileges can install licenses and modify the serial number for all users on the machine. Licenses installed by a user without administrator privileges are available only to that user.

SRC (.srclc) licenses and partner data licenses are saved in the C:\ProgramData\SRC\LicenseManager directory and are managed separately from licenses downloaded from the Alteryx Downloads and Licenses portal.

The licenses for each Alteryx data product installed on the machine display in separate tabs. To view a license...

  1. Select Options > Manage Licenses.
  2. In the Manage Licenses window, select the settings icon.
  3. Select View Partner Data Licenses.

Each tab in the window displays the licenses installed for that type of data and the license key expiration date. To install a license...

  1. In the Partner Data License Manager window, select Install License.
  2. Browse to your license file and select Open.

To delete a license...

  1. In the Partner Data License Manager window, select Delete License.
  2. If the license is part of a package, the system asks for confirmation and lists all licenses in the package.
  3. Select OK to continue.

Edit User or Machine Serial Number

Use the Partner Data License Manager window to manage or edit the user or machine serial number.

Users with administrator privileges can install licenses and modify the serial number for all users on the machine. Licenses installed by a user without administrator privileges are available only to that user.

The machine serial number displays the serial number that was specified at the time of installation. The serial number is directly tied to the installed license file. If the serial number in the license file does not match the serial number specified here, all Alteryx Designer tools will be locked. The user serial number displays instead of machine serial number if the authenticated user does not have administrator privileges.

To edit the machine serial number or user serial number...

  1. In the Partner Data License Manager window, select Edit to view Edit Serial Number.
  2. Edit the serial number or delete it to use the machine serial number.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Select Close.
