Use Cloud Storage Input to connect to a file on a cloud provider to pull data into your workflow.

Tool Components


The Cloud Storage Input tool has 1 anchor.

Output anchor: Use the output anchor to connect the cloud data that you want to use in your workflow.

Configure the Tool


Under the Data container, select the Datasource:

  • Amazon S3
  • Office 365
  • Google Drive

Select a Credential from the dropdown or Create new credential. Each Datasource has their own credential authentication method:

Amazon S3

To create an Amazon S3 credential:

  1. Enter a Credential Name.
  2. Enter the AWS Access Key ID.
  3. Enter the AWS Secret Key.
  4. Select your Region:
    • US East (Ohio)
    • US East (N. Virginia)
    • US West (N. California)
    • US West (Oregon)
    • Canada (Central)
  5. Select Save.

Office 365

To create an Office 365 credential:

  1. Select Create new credential, which opens a new browser tab with an authorization code for Office 365.
  2. Enter a Credential Name.
  3. Copy and paste the authorization code from the browser tab into Authorization Code.
  4. Select Authenticate and Save.
Google Drive

To create a Google Drive credential:

  1. Select Create new credential, which opens a new browser tab to sign into your Google account.
  2. Enter a Credential Name.
  3. After signing into your Google account, copy and paste the authorization code from the browser tab into Authorization Code.
  4. Select Authenticate and Save.

Select the Bucket where your workflow is stored, then select to highlight the file to upload from Select File.


Once your file is connected to the Cloud Storage Input tool, you can configure the file using Options. Options vary based on the file or database to that you connect. See File Format Options.
