Grammar and Language Tool
Use the Grammar and Language tool to correct grammar or translate text with AI functions provided by Databricks.
The Grammar and Language tool processes text directly in Databricks and adds the transformed text to your data.
Configure the Tool
Use these options to configure the Grammar and Language tool.
AI Function
From the AI Function dropdown, select the function that you want to use:
Translate: Translate text in a selected column into another language.
Fix Grammar: Correct grammatical errors in text in a selected column.
The available configuration options depend on the AI function that you select.
Translate
To configure Translate:
From Column to Translate, select the column that contains the text that you want to translate.
From Select the Language, select the language that you want to translate the text into.
In Output Column Name, enter a name for the column that contains the translated text.
Fix Grammar
To configure Fix Grammar:
From Column to Fix, select the column that contains the text that you want to correct.
In Output Column Name, enter a name for the column that contains the corrected text.

Limitations
The Grammar and Language tool uses Databricks AI functions. These functions require a supported Databricks warehouse.
