Exact Online Connections

Exact Online is an online business software for business owners and accountants. The combination of accounting and CRM offers the perfect basis for any healthy business. For more information, see https://www.exact.com/us/software/exact-online.

Limitations and Requirements

Note

During normal selection or import of an entire table, you may encounter an error indicating a problem with a specific column. Since some tables require filtering based on a particular column, data from them can only be ingested using custom SQL statements. In this case, the problematic column can be used as a filter in the WHERE clause of a custom SQL statement to ingest the table.

Note

For filtering date columns, this connection type supports a set of literal functions on dates. You can use these to reduce the volume of data extracted from the database using a custom SQL query. For more information, see the pg_dateliteralfunctions.htm page in the driver documentation for this connection type.

  • Exact Online OAuth enforces a 10-minute timeout.

  • OAuth 2.0 authentication is required.

    • You have to create an OAuth 2.0 client in Exact Online and register the created OAuth 2.0 client in Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC).

When you create the connection, please review the following properties and specify them accordingly:

Description

Region

The region of the Exact Onlineserver you want to connect.

The string value of the Region field should be an exact match with a value that is supported by the underlying driver. For more information on supported region values, see https://cdn.cdata.com/help/DYG/jdbc/RSBExact_p_Region.htm.

Division

The division number associated with the Exact Online account.

Connect String Options

The following default value sets the connection timeout in seconds:

Timeout=0;

Setting this value to 0 disables timeouts.

OAuth 2.0

The client is displayed.

After you have specified the connection to use OAuth 2.0, click Authenticate to validate the connection with the target datastore . If you have modified the connection, click Re-authenticate to validate the new connection definition. You must re-authenticate if you receive an expired code message. This step is required.
