SAP HANA (ODBC) Connections
You can use the SAP HANA (ODBC) connector to read data from and write data to SAP HANA databases in Alteryx One.
This connector is built on the Unified connector framework and uses an Alteryx-managed ODBC driver. No local driver installation is required.
Important
This connector is currently available in Preview and does not yet offer full feature parity with the existing SAP HANA connector. Review its capabilities to ensure they meet your requirements before using it in production.

Prerequisites
Before creating the connection:
Verify that Alteryx One can access your SAP HANA instance.
Add the required Alteryx service IP addresses to your allowlist, if applicable.
Obtain an SAP HANA username and password with the required database permissions.
Configure the Connection
To create a connection:
In Alteryx One, go to Data > New Connection.
Search for and select SAP HANA (Preview).
Configure the connection properties.
Select Test Connection.
After the connection test succeeds, select Create.
Connection Details
Once the connection is created, enter the following details in the appropriate fields:
Connection Name: Display name for the connection in Alteryx One.
Connection Description: Optional description of the connection.
Server: Hostname or IP address of the SAP HANA instance.
Port: Port used to connect to SAP HANA.
Database: Name of the SAP HANA database.
ODBC Driver: Alteryx-managed SAP HANA ODBC driver.
Credential Information
Credential Type: Select Username and Password. This is the only authentication method currently supported by the Preview connector.
Username: Required. Enter the SAP HANA username.
Password: Required. Enter the password associated with the username.
Select Test Connection to verify that Alteryx One can connect using the supplied configuration. If the test succeeds, save the connection.
Authentication Options
The SAP HANA Preview connector currently supports Username and Password authentication.
SAML, SAP single sign-on, OAuth, certificate-based authentication, and other authentication methods are not currently supported by this connector.
Limitations
The connector is currently available in Preview.
Only Basic authentication is supported.
The connector does not yet provide full feature parity with the existing SAP HANA connector.
Existing connections and workflows are not automatically migrated to the new connector.
