Upload Files to Ask Alteryx
If your homepage is named Home, you can upload CSV and XLSX files to an Ask Alteryx chat. Ask Alteryx turns each file into a dataset in Data, so you can ask questions about it or build a workflow from it.
Cuidado
Don't upload files that contain personal or sensitive data unless you're authorized to do so.
Upload a File
Drag and drop a CSV or XLSX file onto the Home page or into the chat. You can also select + in the message box, and then select Upload Files.
Optional: Describe what you want to do with the data.
Select the send icon.
If you send a file without a message, Ask Alteryx summarizes the data and asks what you want to do next. To remove a file before you send it, select the remove icon on the file.
Choose a Sheet in an XLSX File
When you upload an XLSX file with more than 1 sheet, Ask Alteryx asks which sheet to use. Ask Alteryx uses 1 sheet at a time and creates a dataset from it. It doesn't combine sheets into 1 dataset.
