Alteryx One Dataset FAQs
These are some frequently asked questions regarding Auto Insights insights generated from Alteryx One datasets.
What are the size limitations for uploading datasets to Auto Insights via Alteryx One?
Alteryx One supports file upload up to 1GB maximum. Larger datasets will need to be configured through an Alteryx One connection.
Auto Insights currently supports datasets up to 17GB for ingestion from Alteryx One. Supporting datasets larger than 17GB is being evaluated.
What happens to my existing Auto Insights datasets?
Your existing Auto Insights datasets converge automatically under the associated Alteryx One dataset. No action is required on your part, and your existing reports and analyses continue to work as expected.
Will my sharing or permissions change?
No. Roles carry over one-to-one: Viewers stay Viewers, Editors stay Editors, and Owners stay Owners on the corresponding Alteryx One dataset. Access to insights is tied to your Alteryx One dataset access, so no separate grant is needed.
How do I keep my insights refreshed automatically now?
Insights refresh whenever the underlying Alteryx One dataset is updated, whether that's a manual upload, a manual refresh, or a workflow run that produces the dataset. To automate this, schedule or orchestrate the workflow that produces the dataset, so each run updates the dataset and its insights.
