Ask Alteryx saves your chats. The same chat history is available in Alteryx One, Designer, and Live Query, so you can start a chat in one place and continue it in another.

Note

Chat history isn't available in the Designer Modern UI preview.

Ask Alteryx in Alteryx One

In Alteryx One, Ask Alteryx works with your data for you. Describe what you want, and Ask Alteryx finds the data in your workspace, builds a workflow, runs it, and reports the results in the chat. You can also ask questions about Alteryx One and its modules.

Ask Alteryx in Designer

In Designer, Ask Alteryx helps you build workflows, understand tools, troubleshoot workflow issues, and learn more about Designer tools.

Ask Alteryx uses Generative AI to analyze your current workflow and provide tailored recommendations. Ask Alteryx can also add preconfigured tools to the canvas for you.

Ask Alteryx appears as a window in Designer where you can enter prompts in natural language.

In Live Query, Ask Alteryx has similar capabilities as Ask Alteryx in Designer. Use Ask Alteryx in Live Query to build workflows, understand tools, troubleshoot workflow issues, and learn more about Live Query tools.
