Alteryx Tools Used to Connect
Configure Adobe Developer Console for Sign In
Before configuring the Adobe Analytics tool, you must have the Adobe Developer Console settings properly configured for users to access report data via the API.
Sign In as User
Use this method for ad hoc workflows. Sign in using Adobe Analytics credentials. Credentials must be re-entered every 24 hours or anytime you add a new instance of the tool. User authentication requires project access granted by your Adobe administrator.
User authentication requires creating an OAuth integration within Adobe Developer Console:
After creating a new project with the Adobe Analytics API, choose OAuth for the authentication type.
Once the application is created, Adobe provides a ClientID and Client Secret to use for User Login within the Adobe Analytics Tool.
Sign In with Service Account
Use this method for scheduled workflows or when adding workflows to Alteryx Server. Credentials do not need to be re-entered to run the workflow.
Service account authentication requires creating a service account integration within Adobe Developer Console:
After you create a new project with the Adobe Analytics API, choose OAuth Server-to-Server for the authentication type.
Once you create the application, Adobe provides an API Key (Client ID) and Client Secret.
Known Limitations
Adobe Analytics Tool doesn't support segments.
The user login authentication option is temporarily unavailable.
