DateFilter_dep_71x71.pngDate Filter Tool

The Date Filter tool has been deprecated. The functionality has been incorporated into the Filter tool.

The Date Filter tool allows users to easily filter data based on date criteria using a calendar-based interface.

Configure the Tool

There are 3 ways to specify the date values used in the filter:

  • The exact start and end dates to use.

  • The start date and the number of periods from that date into the future to use.

  • The end date and the number of periods from that into the past to use. The allowed periods are days, weeks, months, quarters, and years.

  1. Select the date field to be used in filtering. Use the dropdown to select the incoming date field. The field must be a "Date" field type.

  2. Specify the Date selection method.

    • Use start and end dates: Both start and end dates are included in the filter.

      1. Pick the start date from the calendar.

      2. Pick the end date from the calendar.

    • Use the start date and subsequent periods after that date.

      1. Pick the start date from the calendar.

      2. Choose the period definition from the dropdown.

      3. Specify the number of periods after the start date to include.

    • Use the end date and preceding periods before that date.

      1. Pick the end date from the calendar.

      2. Choose the period definition from the dropdown list.

      3. Specify the number of periods before the end date to include.

When you specify Quarters as the period definition, note that this calculation is based on multiplying months by 3. So if you specify 4 Quarters, 12 months of records are returned.
