Amazon Athena (ODBC) Connections
You can use the Amazon Athena (ODBC) connector to read data from and write data to Amazon Athena in Alteryx One.
This connector is built on the Unified connector framework and uses an Alteryx-managed ODBC driver. No local driver installation is required.

Prerequisites
Before creating the connection:
Make sure that the required AWS services are accessible from Alteryx One.
Obtain credentials with access to Athena and the applicable AWS Glue Data Catalog and Amazon S3 locations.
Confirm the AWS Region, Athena workgroup, and query-results S3 location.
Configure the Connection
To create a connection:
In Alteryx One, go to Data > New Connection.
Search for and select Amazon Athena.
Configure the connection and credential properties.
Select Test Connection.
After the connection test succeeds, select Create.

Limitations
Only Basic authentication is supported.
Existing connections and workflows are not automatically migrated to the new connector.
Existing Amazon Athena Connector
Alteryx One also provides an existing JDBC-based Amazon Athena connector. For information about that connector, see Amazon Athena Connections.
