Data Security in Export Options, AI Suggested Use Cases, and AI Assistant
Export Options in Preset Reports and AI Suggested Use Cases use generative AI to generate dynamic content. These features connect to a Large Language Model (LLM) via an Alteryx instance within Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
Preset Reports Export Options
Auto Insights executes an API call each time you select Generate, which results in content generation. Go to the Export Options article for more information on how to generate a new document.
Auto Insights sends only the findings that are presented in the Preset Summary, as well as these configurations for each document that you select:
Format: Email, Presentation, or Message
Audience
Include or exclude recommendations
Objective
Tone
Language
Length of the returned document
Topic

AI Suggested Use Cases
AI Suggested Use Cases executes several API calls as the user browses through the AI Suggested Use Cases interface to generate use cases, synthetic data, reports, and more. For AI Suggested Use Cases with synthetic data, Auto Insights only sends the information the user enters into the text box (for example, role, company, department, or problem space) and the use case and report selection (both generated by AI) to OpenAI. For AI Suggested Use Cases with your real data, Auto Insights only sends the structure and randomized sample values of datasets used to generate use cases as well as the use case and report selection (both generated by AI) to OpenAI. AI Assistant
The AI Assistant feature provides in-context assistance to help you work more efficiently with content. Highlight a section of text, and use AI Assistant to:
Rephrase the content.
Summarize the section.
Translate the text.
In addition, the AI Assistant includes an Executive Summary capability. This feature analyzes the entire report and generates a concise, high-level summary that you can use as-is or refine to suit your needs. The system performs all AI Assistant operations through secure API calls using Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services, encrypting data in transit and at rest. It does not share user credentials or full dataset contents with the model, only the report content or specifically selected information.
