Import Data from Alteryx One
Import datasets from Alteryx One into Auto Insights to explore automated insights without extra setup. When a dataset meets requirements, Alteryx One creates a single insights layer and makes it available in Auto Insights. If an insights layer is unavailable or you don’t have access, Auto Insights guieds you on what to do next.

Create Dataset
Note
Auto Insights datasets have a one-to-one relationship with Alteryx One datasets. This means you can't create multiple Auto Insights datasets from a single Alteryx One dataset. To create a new Auto Insights dataset, start from the Data page in Alteryx One.
To create a new Auto Insights dataset starting from your data in Alteryx One…
From Alteryx One, go to the Data page.
From the dropdown next to the dataset that you want to import into Auto Insights, select Use In > Auto Insights.
From the dialog that opens in Auto Insights, select how you want to analyze your data:
Explore Data: Quickly analyze the data to uncover patterns, trends, and key drivers.
Custom Report: Build a custom report from scratch and customize how insights are presented.
Preset Report: Start with a ready-made custom report designed for common analysis scenarios.
Your dataset is now available from the Datasets page in Auto Insights. Use the Datasets page to manage your dataset and explore more insights.
Review Columns
You can update column headings, adjust column types, change the sentiment of Measures, or turn off columns you don't want to show. Learn how you can configure columns for your new Dataset.
Enable AI Suggested Use Cases
AI Suggested Use Cases can help you identify analytical use cases based on your datasets and explore automatically generated Preset Reports from the selected use case. The AI Suggested Use Cases option needs to be enabled before it will be available for your dataset. For more information, see AI Suggested Use Cases.
Set Key Measures
The final step before the data is ready for business users is to provide context on what Auto Insights is calling out for your business. Learn how you can tailor the insights that Auto Insights highlights to be relevant to your business.
Add Goals
With Goals, Auto Insights can help you track your performance against your KPIs with precision. Once Goals are imported, they display in Preset Reports so you can work together with your team to achieve better outcomes. Learn about Prepare Goals Dataset.
Schedule Data Refresh
A new Dataset that has been created will not automatically refresh its data, even when the source data changes within the Alteryx One dataset. Creators with Author or Editor permission to a dataset can Schedule a data refresh so that new data is imported into Auto Insights automatically.
