Download and Install Desktop Modules

Important

This content applies to new Alteryx One Editions launched in spring 2025. It doesn’t apply to accounts purchased earlier unless those accounts have migrated to one of the new editions.

 Alteryx One offers convenient access to these Alteryx modules:

  • Alteryx One App: The Alteryx One desktop app includes the latest version of Designer and other key tools in one package.

  • Alteryx Server

  • Data Bridge

  • Drivers

  • Data Packages

  • Connect

Download a Module

Important

To download modules, you must have Admin, Full, or Basic User access via a Professional or Enterprise edition account.

  1. To download a module, sign in to your Alteryx One workspace. If you're new to your workspace, accept the invitation to Alteryx One and sign in.

  2. Select Download & Activate from the left navigation pane.

  3. Select the module tab you want to download. If you are downloading via the Alteryx One desktop app, you have access to Designer and Additional Downloads (Alteryx Predictive Tools, Alteryx Intelligence Suite, and AI Tools).

    • Alteryx One: Download the Alteryx One desktop app, which includes the latest version of Designer as well as the option to download these items:

      • Alteryx Predictive Tools: Adds a suite of predictive tools to Designer. For more information, go to Download and Use Predictive Tools.

      • Alteryx Intelligence Suite: Adds machine learning, text mining, and computer vision tools to Designer. For more information, go to Alteryx Intelligence Suite.

      • AI Tools: Enhance Designer with tools that generate, transform, and analyze data using AI. For more information, go to AI Tools.

    • Server: Schedule and automate workflows, manage and share data connections, control data access, and manage analytic apps.

    • Data Bridge: (Public Preview) Alteryx Data Bridges enables workflows running in Workspace Execution to securely connect to customer-managed data sources.

    • Drivers

    • Data Packages: Data packages are curated datasets you can use in Designer workflows. Each release includes documentation, file size, as well as compatibility and entitlement notes.

    • Connect: Alteryx Connect helps you collaborate across departments and keeps all your assets, workflows, apps, and more governed and organized.

    • Older Designer Versions: Download older versions of Alteryx Designer (up to 2025.2). For the latest release, use the Alteryx One desktop app.

  4. If applicable, select a Version and Install Type from the dropdowns.

  5. Select Download.

  6. Once the download completes, double-click the installation file to open it and start the installation process.

Alteryx One App

Admin and Non-Admin Versions of Designer

You can install Admin and Non-Admin versions of Designer on the same machine.

Admin Version

The Admin version requires administrator permissions on the machine. All users on the machine can run it and it is installed in the system Program Files directory. The Admin version also includes Alteryx Scheduler, which requires a license.

Non-Admin Version

The Non-Admin version does not require administrator privileges on the machine. It installs in the user’s App Data location, and only the user who installed it can run it.

Alteryx Predictive Tools

Installation Path Requirements

Predictive tools do not work if the Designer installation path includes non-ASCII characters (for example, Cyrillic, Chinese, or Japanese characters).

When you upgrade to a newer version of Alteryx Designer, you must also upgrade to a newer version of the Predictive Tools. The 2 versions must be the same.
