Getting Started for Alteryx One Users
Ready to start using your workspace in the Alteryx One platform? Complete the following steps to enable your account and get started.
Tip
Workspace administrators should share this page with newly invited users.
First Time Sign In
Follow these steps to sign in to your Alteryx One workspace for the first time:
Check your email for an invitation to your Alteryx One workspace.
Select Accept Invitation in your invitation email to go to your workspace.
From the Alteryx One sign-in page, follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to your workspace. Alteryx One sends a one-time passcode to your email to verify your identity when you sign in for the first time. The passcode is valid for 15 minutes.
Trial Users
If you registered your account through the free trial, you will access your workspace after you complete registration.
If you add users to a workspace from your trial account, they will receive an invite to join.
For more on trials, go to Alteryx One Trial.
Select a Workspace
Use workspaces to share data and workflows with other users in the same workspace. You might be in more than one workspace depending on how your admin configured your access.
If you are in only one workspace, continue the sign-in process to access it. If you have more than one workspace, first select a workspace and then enter your password.
If you don't have a workspace assigned, contact your admin.
Signing In Going Forward
After your initial sign-in, going forward, you can access the Alteryx One web experience through the sign-in page for your region:
For additional details, go to Sign In.
Alteryx One App
While you can access Alteryx One via the browser, a desktop Alteryx One app is also available.
The Alteryx One app provides a unified interface for the Alteryx One platform. It connects Designer and the Alteryx cloud in a single entry point. Use the Alteryx One app to prepare data, build workflows, automate processes, and create reports in a single platform.
To get your desktop app, go to Download and Install Alteryx One App.

Important
Access to Alteryx One modules depends on your account type and user permissions. Contact your account Admin for information on your access.
Once you’re in your workspace, you can get started right away. Here are a few things you can do from the Alteryx One homepage:
Ask Alteryx What You Can Do Next
Ask Alteryx is your AI-powered analytics assistant. Chat with Ask Alteryx in a natural, conversational way to learn about module capabilities, build workflows, find recommended tools, and get help with common tasks in supported Alteryx One experiences. To get started with Ask Alteryx, explore these resources:
AI-Powered Analytics
Build Alteryx Agents, connect external AI apps to Alteryx One data, and prepare datasets, workflows, and analytic apps for AI use:
Agent Studio: Agent Studio is your hub for AI-powered analytic experiences. Use Agent Studio to create and manage Alteryx Agents, set up datasets, workflows, and apps before you use them in Agent Studio or supported AI clients, and connect trusted Alteryx insights to supported external AI experiences.
Alteryx Skills: Alteryx Skills let supported AI coding assistants work with local Designer workflows. You can use them to build, inspect, run, and repair trusted workflows for repeatable business analysis.
Alteryx MCP Server: The Alteryx MCP Server connects your datasets, workflows, and analytic apps capabilities to supported AI apps and MCP clients.
Build Data Pipelines
Select New Workflow to build data pipelines in Designer, Designer Cloud, and Live Query.
Join and blend datasets to enrich records with attributes from internal and external sources.
Append, reshape, and standardize data to align formats, categories, and structures across inputs.
Derive new fields and features using enrichment logic, calculations, and reusable macros.
Apply shared rules and reference data to ensure outputs remain consistent and auditable across teams and regions.
Get started with workflows:
Automate and Schedule Workflows
Alteryx One uses orchestration to coordinate multiple analytics workflows into governed, end-to-end processes, sequencing them across data ingestion, transformation, analytics, AI, and reporting workflows.
Select New Plan to orchestrate and automate pipelines by chaining together tasks from different applications. A plan lets you execute of a sequence of discrete tasks in the Alteryx One. These tasks can be transformation execution jobs, HTTP requests to other platforms, and much more. Explore these Orchestrator resources:
Create Visual Reports
Select New Report to create visual reports in Auto Insights. Once data is prepared and workflows run, Alteryx Auto Insights evaluates analytic results to surface meaningful patterns, changes, and exceptions. It then explains those signals in clear language designed for business audiences.
Explore these Auto Insights resources:
Explore Datasets and Connect to Data Sources
Connect directly to business systems, cloud platforms, and files—bringing data into a governed environment without custom scripting or manual setup. Once data is ingested, you can prepare, transform, and analyze it within a single workflow.
You can configure connections between Alteryx One and your data sources. Depending on the connection type, data can be imported, exported, or both via a valid, defined connection. Many of these connections can be created directly in Alteryx One. In some cases, additional configuration is required outside of the application.
