Privacy and Information Leakage

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as user IDs, user credentials and other private information may be stored in Server's database. Server takes steps to protect data it knows to be PII, but that is constrained to data used directly by Server in the course of performing its functions (examples include Server user identity, licensing information, "run-as" credentials, data source credentials, &c.) Warn users to be cautious when using or including PII within the workflows they upload or schedule on Server. Because Alteryx performs general-purpose computations, often using geographic or confidential demographic information, additional care should be taken when propagating this information through various workflows. Special caution should be taken when sharing workflows, particularly if they contain embedded credentials.
