Safe and Semi-safe Run Modes: Blocked Tools, Events, and Data Connectors

Warning

At this time, these tools are not being blocked when you use Safe Mode and Semi-safe Mode:

  • Tools built with the Python SDK V2

  • Google Drive Tools

  • UiPath Tool

  • SharePoint Tools

  • Tableau Output Tool

  • PowerBI Output

  • OneDrive Tools

  • Box Tools

  • Azure Data Lake Tools

Server admins set a Default Run Mode when configuring the Server. Go to the Server UI help page for more info. The Server's Default Run Mode determines the workflows that Server users can run. This is the list of blocked tools, events, and data connectors for both Safe and Semi-safe run modes.

Safe and Semi-safe: Tools That Block Directory Access

In both Safe and Semi-safe mode, Server users can't run workflows with these tools if they read data from or write data to a location that isn't within the workflow staging directory (workspace).

Safe Mode: Blocked Functions

In Safe mode, Server users can't run workflows with these functions.

In Safe mode, Server users can't run workflows with these events.
