Manage Accounts and Users

A license administrator can view their account and manage all users who have registered under the account. Admins can create an additional license administrator user, assign a role to a user, and remove or delete a user.

Manage Users

To view all users associated with an account...

  1. Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Select the name of the account from the Showing for Account menu.

Alteryx displays the Account Users. These options are available from the Users page:

  • Search for a User

  • Edit User

  • Delete User

Search for User

To search for a specific user under an account...

  1. Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Select the User Name or Email filter.

  4. Enter search criteria and select Apply.

Edit User

A license administrator can edit user information and remove a user from an account. A license administrator can also change the user's role or assign a new role. A license administrator must be the administrator of all accounts the user is associated with to perform these tasks.

To edit user details...

  1. Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Select the User Name of the user.

  4. Select the 3-dot menu.

  5. Select Edit User.

  6. Edit the information.

  7. Select Save.

The system displays a success message.

Delete User

A license administrator can delete a user if they are the administrator for all accounts the user is associated with. Contact fulfillment@alteryx.com if you need help removing a user.

To delete a user...

  1. Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Select the Delete button in the row of the user.

  4. Select Delete to confirm.

The system displays a success message.

To delete multiple users, check the boxes next to their User Name, and then select the Delete button at the top of the table.

Manage Accounts

A license administrator can rename the accounts.

To rename an account…

  1. Sign in to the Alteryx Licensing & Downloads portal.

  2. Select Accounts.

  3. Select the Edit button in the row of the account.

  4. Enter a new account name.

  5. Select Save.

Suspended Features

In the versions prior to 23.1, a license administrator could change a user's status to Active or Inactive without the need to remove the user. We’re working on enabling this feature again.
