Language Support Early Preview
Important
Language support for Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) is currently in Early Preview. During Early Preview, you can preview AAC in 1 of the supported languages. Note that the Language Support Early Preview doesn’t include all AAC apps and pages, and functional localization (for example, multilingual data processing) is limited. Throughout the Early Preview phase, we will release iterative enhancements to language support across our products.
Supported Languages
The AAC user interface (UI) and supporting Help documentation are available in…
English
French
German
Italian
Latin American Spanish
Brazilian Portuguese
Japanese
Simplified Chinese
Language and Locale Defaults
Language
Important
During Language Support Early Preview, the default language is English.
To change your UI language, select the Profile menu and then go to User Preferences > Account > Language. Note that your language selection is tied to your account and persists across workspaces and between sessions.
Locale
Important
The Locale setting will be available with a future release.
The default locale is English (US), regardless of the UI language you select. This means that the date, time, and number formatting across AAC is in English (US). For example, AAC formats a date of 02-23-24 as MM-DD-YYYY, which represents February 23rd, 2024.

Language Support Early Preview Limitations
Important
Throughout the Language Support Early Preview, there are limitations that we will address in subsequent releases. Please refer back to this documentation regularly for the latest information.
UI Language Limitations
Across all AAC apps, regional formatting of dates, times, and numbers is only available in English (US).
There might be some words or sections within apps that display in English, resulting in a mix of 2 languages.
Functional Localization Limitations and Multilingual Data Support
Multilingual and multibyte data support: AAC is UTF-8 enabled. However, multibyte data input, processing, and output aren’t supported and will experience limitations.
Data encoding: Data encoding options are available for data input and output. However, you can’t change the encoding for data that you bring in from an external connection (for example, Snowflake).
Sorting follows English Dictionary order.
